If you’re a student at the University of Portsmouth, there are many sources of support to help with your mental health and wellbeing.

The University’s Student Wellbeing Service

The Student Wellbeing Service provides free mental health support, counselling and wellbeing support to University of Portsmouth students.

We offer one-to-one support like daily advice sessions and counselling, resources and guides for help with different issues, and workshops, courses, events and support groups to connect with others.

Res Life

The Res Life team is here to support first year students with day to day welfare and pastoral concerns. If you’re experiencing the ups and downs of university life, independent living or sharing a hall or house with other students, Res Life can offer help and advice. Res Life Assistants also provide peer to peer support and host community building activities and social events in halls.

UPSU Advice Service 

The Advice Service offers confidential, impartial and non-judgemental support to UoP students. They deliver advice and guidance on academic issues that may affect your experience, including helping students understand university policies and procedures and support completing extenuating circumstance forms.
